Saw this yesterday, if only it had voice and video support.
Adium is a fantastic app, it really shows what open source can accomplish.

I love Adium! I just couldn’t live without it.
I’ve been using the beta version quite long now, because of Xblaze, and I love it.
    Especially the new Xtras manager.

whp, I totally agree. It’s a fantastic app but in future, voice and video support would be great. Thats all it’s missing.

I’ve been using the beta for quite a while now and I love it! I love the fact that it doesn’t take forever to login anymore and I love how file transfer now works :D . I also agree that voice and video would be nice, but I’m sure it’s coming!

Voice and video would be very nice indeed, but it looks like nobody with the necessarily skillset is around. I remember a post a while back on the Adium blog about what exactly they need to start work on voice and video, and it’s quite a task. It’s a shame that voice and video could keep people away from Adium and stuck with iChat. I don’t know what I would do if I was forced to use iChat- Adium meets so many more of my needs.

Is http://www.robberthamburg.nl Craig’s website? I’m confused why this article is word for word the same as the one on the above mentioned site…

  9. Glenn Wolsey on February 3rd, 2007 6:07 pm

Rebby, I’m not too sure. That is very strange. This article was finished around 7 hours ago, and when Craig sent it to me it was different from how it is above, I made some edits, deleted a few lines of text, and set it to publish.

If this is not Craig’s site, it has been directly copied from the page – I know this due to the edits I made before publishing.
