iTunes Tip: Viewing iPod Stats

With thousands of features packed into iTunes, there are so many tips and tricks to discover - today I happened to find this little beauty.

When iTunes 7 introduced their new device section, it didn’t seem like much of an improvement, but after having a good look through it I found this extra. Plug your iPod in and click on the bar graph to view additional information, such as quantity of songs and overall time.

    @Andre
    What Jack means is that when you click the stats bar the info under the heading “Audio” changes.
    It normally just shows the amount of music you have in GB’s but when you click on it, it shows you the no. of Songs you have. If you press it again it will show you how long it would take you to play all of your audio (usually in days). Click it again and it goes back to displaying GB’s.

    Very applish thing to do. I actually have seen this trick before.
    In the “About This Mac” you can click on the version number and it changes to other info.

    @Rennervater: I see. I don’t have a Mac right now so there was no way I could try it out, and the screenshot is rather unclear, so.. :}

    Well, don’t you see that info at the bottom of iTunes when browsing the iPod music? It seems such a minute feature to be showcasing it here with new apps and the such…
