PresentYourApps: What’s in a Name?
Posted by John Baker on 02/21/07 in Applications, Utilities
When an application has a name like PresentYourApps, there’s not much beating around the bush explaining what it does. It, well, presents your apps.
PresentYourApps is essentially just a front end to a line of code that is present in every application, defining whether or not to hide the dock and/or menu bar when that application is open and in the foreground. The one thing that PresentYourApps does that other “focus” applications like Think or Isolator don’t is that it permanently changes this line of code within the application for which you want to hide the menu bar or dock. This means once you set up all your applications like you please, you don’t even have to bother with PresentYourApps again unless you want to change your settings.
PresentYourApps does lack the ability to automatically hide desktop icons and background windows, but when combined with something like Backdrop, PresentYourApps is the best and easiest fullscreen and focus application I’ve ever used.
PresentYourApps 1.0 is freeware from Eternal Storms Software. Get it here.
