Actiontastic: GTD The Easy Way

There are many Mac applications out there focussed on the subject of Getting Things Done. There’s Ghost Action, EasyTask Manager, kGTD etc. All of them are really interesting and useful in their own way, but if you are looking for an easy and free way I have the solution: Actiontastic. Actiontastic is a fantastic GTD app made by Kaboomerang. Originally planned to be a 29$ software, it is now free and open source. The features of Actiontastic are impressive for a beta software. No, no you’re not. I hate GTD. It seems counterprodcutive to me, like it takes to much time to do itself, instead of just getting down the the task.

I tried several GTD apps b4 but @ the end i just came back to my trusty ical and sidenote. Using all these gtd apps just add another layer of complexity/application/*

It’s just a way of organizing tasks. If you only have a few things on your plate ( like 90% of people ) then you don’t need a management system. Only recently have I encountered the problem I have now of having 30-40 tasks lining up for each different project. Ghost Action is a great way to keep track of this, and replaces my former system of random notes. Definitely an improvement!

After trying this app, I like Ghost Action better, despite its asinine name. It colours items when the status becomes overdue, which is vital to my process.
