Trapper Keeper: Rosie O’Donnell Not Included

Trapper KeeperStickies can be a drag once in a while, with it’s UI and main feature list last updated in 2000. With Stickies, there is no true organization of notes, which can lead to clutter all over the desktop. With too many Stickies, finding the one you want can be tough which is a real pain. Introducing Trapper Keeper from LimbicLogic - an app that puts all of your notes into a single, searchable menubar item.

Trapper Keeper

Trapper Keeper runs in the menubar, and opens via mouse click or hotkey. When opened, the user is presented with a search box. From here you can search through current notes, or click the plus button to add a new one. You can lock, delete, Google, or Spotlight notes, as well as copy notes straight to the clipboard. Trapper Keeper is a really great replacement for Stickies, it’s organized, quick, and simple to use. Trapper Keeper costs $18 and is available from LimbicLogic.

I like the idea, but $18 is a lot for a simple app. I use iCal for my to-do-list sort of stuff.

I also think of the famous South Park reference whenever I hear the words “Trapper Keeper”. :-P

Yeah, I’d never lay down $18 for something that can be done in many different ways. I personally use side note which costs $free
