Frenzic 1.1 Released: Prepare To Be Even More Addicted

Frenzic IconThe iconfactory and ARTIS Software have released an update to their very addicting game; Frenzic. In case you don’t know, Frenzic involves putting colored pie pieces together. What you do is try to make a pie all one color. If you purchase a subscription or life time package, you get a profile and the ability to submit your scores online. The update improves performance for older Macs as well as an “in-game” notification system for important events while you are playing. One great enhancement is the additional “skip this piece” key which is set to “w” or “0-zero”. This allows you to skip the piece you have if you’re in a tough situation. Were you ever in a situation where you had a huge score but you accidentally quit Frenzic? Well, a confirmation box has been added to prevent this problem.

The update is available now for you to download here. If you have not tried Frenzic I recommend you do, if you don’t mind zoning out and being addicted to a game for hours on end, I know we have a few people here that are like that *nudge* Michael *nudge*. You can grab Frenzic here.

*Editor Update: The friendly developers of Frenzic saw our review and have generously donated a couple of licenses to the lucky people who can answer this question:

    A: 15″ Mac Book Pro.

Portability is worth the reduction in screen real estate, by far.

Definitely MacBook Pro…you can always use the MacBook as a desktop, but you can’t pack a desktop in your backpack.

I assume you do not yet own either a portable or a desktop mac. but it really depends on your need. if you want/need to be mobile, the choice is clear: the mbp. but if you rather have a bigger screen real estate and dont really need to use a laptop when you are out, then the iMac. No need to say, the 24″ screen is damn gorgeous. Good luck with your choice

I am actually facing that decision right now, and have decided to go for the 15″ macbook Pro, because of the screen size and the portability. Plus, I just LOVE glowing keyboards….

If your looking to be mobile than the MBP is your obvious choice, but the iMac has some great features as well. Either way, I would hold out on both to see what the new rumored iMacs look like. :P

I was in the situation of deciding which one to buy around Christmas time. The iMac 24″ won. The reason for that is that come WWDC, I want to upgrade my 15″ PowerBook to a MacBook Pro. Hopefully the MacBook Pro’s will see an updated look (the shell hasn’t been updated in a while), along with the flash hard-drive and other nice features. An iMac update won’t be that exciting. They look great now, there’s not much coming out for them in terms of upgrades (so its a safe buy at the moment).

Buying right this minute - iMac 24″.
Buying around WWDC - MacBook Pro.

    Just my thoughts!

24 inch iMac. One of my clients has it and its just gorgeous, and I’m hugely jealous of it with my G4 mini.

The MacBook Pro by far. I recently switched from a 20″ iMac to the 15″ MBP, and until you’ve owned a portable, you have no idea how awesome it is to sit in the car on a 2 hour drive to Los Alamos and catch up on your RSS feeds.

Leaning towards the “24 Mac. Besides the larger screen, you also get a larger and faster hard drive. With the 500G hard drive it is about $100 less.

Also have a Dell laptop for work that I have take everywhere, so don’t need a second laptop. Now if I could convince my employer to buy me a Macbook Pro 15″, I would have both my work and home computers in one.
