Crittersim: Simple Insect Simulation
While I was browsing iusethis I came across this fun little game, Crittersim. A game by Clarkwood Software, Crittersim is a small simulation program of animals and species and includes a cute little icon. The graphics are very simple at the moment, though the developer just wants to get the basics down before any more UI development. It’s a fun little program to have in the background and check every now and then to see how many generations of critters there were and the current count of critters.

There are a few options, such as pesticide, which will kill half of the animals, as well as herbicide, which will kill half the plants. Crittersim also includes an option called dye, which will make everything blue at the time you click it, showing you new plants and animals, since they will be the normal colors. This is the first release, but with some feedback to the developer, I’m sure it’ll develop into a fun little game.

I don’t exactly get the point, but the icon is cute.
Me neither…is it like zoo tycoon or something?
I think it’s like a simulator. Not as complex as Zoo Tycoon, but in that ball park.
This has been around for a while. I doubt you’ll be seeing a new version any time soon.
