mainmenu for sure...and the google notifier is nothing new but one of my most used. I really hate that my macbook pro always fights me for controls on the keyboard lights, so lab tick is really useful for me, although the app needs some work.

My favorite alternative to Onyx is MainMenu. Easily accessible from the menubar and a little more lightweight. Another one is SMARTReporter. While not as immediately useful, it can save your data by telling you before your harddrive fails.

OnyX or MainMenu are both excellent little utilities. Although, perhaps OnyX isn't so little ;)

I use AppDelete (free) to do what AppZapper does. I'll have to check out CoconutBattery and YASU. They look interesting. Other tools/utilities I really like:

1. Magical
2. 1Passwd
3. SuperDuper!
