Podcast: MacApper Switcher’s Giveaway Update

switcher.pngI finally got around to installing some inline media controls for our bloggers and I thought I might air Alec Feld’s portion of the podcast done over at Victor’s Typical Mac User Podcast, a couple days ago. Alec was interviewed about our Macapper Switcher’s Story Contest and as far as I know this was MacApper’s first foray into anything other than text on a screen. Props to Alec for taking this on and Victor for setting it up. I would highly recommend heading over to TMU to check out the full podcast as it has a great format with a lot of interaction. Victor also has a pretty sweet radio voice.

Speaking of the contest, time is running out to get your entries in so I will give you a little update. As of tonight we have just a few videos, but a couple really stick out. We also have a few audio clips, and some unique imagery. I will say that right now anyone with a good idea and a few hours to kill on their Mac, could easily run away with this huge giveaway. I’m not sure why more people aren’t submitting funny or satirical type of entries as a switcher’s story contest pretty much begs for it.

Only 72 hours left for submissions! If you have a good idea for a quick 3 minute video or audio clip, better get on it now. Remember any reasonable entry will be added to the draw for a random winner. Thanks again to those competing and submitting entries, its been tons of fun wading through these all week.

That typical Mac user guy worries me. He was all to quick to accept the still-unproven Blackhat Macbook wireless hack, and blame “zealot” Mac users for not accepting it. I mean, if he’s supposed to be the voice for typical “switcher’ users, why is he misrepresenting the facts?

First, my name is Victor, and I “That typical Mac User guy.” you just flamed without provication.

Let me correct something. I recommended that the wireless hacks be looked at period. Then, after talking to security professionals at http://www.pauldotcom.com/ I took a closer look and had Paul and Larry comment on it on the show. That’s what we do there.

These are not security flunkies. So check all the facts before you flame my opinion.

If I worry you ok, but don’t question my motives, because I’m just a Mac lover and user like you, just expressing my opinion. The last time I checked the internet lets’ me do that.

I have never processes to be a Mac Guru and only have been a Mac user for almost two years. I have no problem with getting flamed, but do it on my blog instead of using this site which I support to do it. You are welcome to write to me one on one typicalmacuser@gmail.com.

I agree. If anyone’s motives are in the right spot, Its Vic’s. He does a great job with his podcast and his dedication and consistency are top shelf imo.
