Switcher’s Giveaway Honorable Mentions I: Why Switch?

MacApper Switcher's Giveaway 1st Prize Winner AnnouncedWe got a lot of cool entries in our recent Switcher’s Contest, and as I hinted at earlier we decided to pass a reward to those who didn’t win, but still sent in a worthwhile entry. All this week we will run 3 switcher’s entries we feel deserve a nod. The plan is to throw up a poll after all 3 have been shown and allow the readers to choose a winner. The entry who has the most votes will get $100 in cash (Paypal cash). We also have a killer t-shirt from Insanely Great Tees for each of the contestants. We appreciate the time it can take putting this type of stuff together, so consider this bonus our appreciation for your time and effort.

And without further ado, here is the first entry titled Why Switch? by Brian Sorli.

Good work Brian, we liked your fold-in effects and editing. We’re also digging the midi keyboard in the background. For more information on Brian you can check out his homepage.

@Sumner: Watch for a poll to happen after all 3 entries are shown – towards the end of this week.

I just queued the 2nd one by Jens Bonk to run today at 12:00pm EST.

Very nice clip ! I love those Clapping, Cheering and Snoring sound effects. And the midi keyboard really is great (reminds me of the Wii menu music ;) ).

    Thanks for the thumbs up…

Amazing what you can accomplish with audio using Soundtrack Pro.

Actually, I was slicing and dicing the original video and began to realize how BLAW I really sound and it just need something to spark up the presentation.

I don’t really know Soundtrack Pro, so I’m certain I’m missing out on what it can really do, but this project has given me hope and possible desire to read the manuals. :) Okay, maybe not…

@Brian: Speaking of audio, I wanted to apologize for insisiting you increase the audio that day. Something was affecting my own audio and I noticed after the video published. So if the audio on Brian’s entry sounds too loud, it is my fault, not his.
