Switcher’s Giveaway Honorable Mentions II: Incredible Tales

MacApper Switcher's Giveaway 1st Prize Winner AnnouncedIn case you missed my post yesterday, we are giving away $100 and a free shirt from Insanely Great Tees to the best of our Switcher’s Contest entries. We have chosen the 3 best entries that did not win, and we will run a poll once they are all revealed to choose the winner of the consolation prize. We thought this was a good way to share some other Switcher’s tales to the readers, while rewarding those who took the time to come up with an entry.

Yesterday’s entry was a video, but today we have something a little different.

Entry number #2 is a mini comic book titled Incredible Tales of a Switcher by Jens Bonk from Germany. Jens says he used iWeb, iPhoto, and Comic Life to create his entry. Good work Jens! As a guy who grew up reading comics I thought your entry was really clever.

Haha, actually now I’m kinda embarassed seeing my face on the frontpage for the whole world to see ;) But whatever, thanks so much :D
Oh and actually I forgot to mention that I used Photoshop Elements (no iLife, no Universal = no mention) as well.

Did you create that in Comic Life? Very cool.

  5. Brian Sorli on May 14th, 2007 5:22 pm

Yes that is cool…what did you do that in?

  6. Jens Bonk on May 14th, 2007 5:38 pm

Edited the photos in iPhoto and Photoshop Elements. The rest with Comic Life, yes. I always wanted to do a “bigger” project in Comic Life, such a fantastic, fun app. Too bad I can’t draw.
The iWeb stuff was basically just a slideshow page for the comic, but the way the MacApper team touched it up is way cooler and better to look at ! Thanks for that.
Thanks for all the positive comments, now I am a bit less embarrassed ;)

    hallo herr bonk!

    good effort, BUT…

it’s such a shame there wasn’t forward buttons on each caption – the lack of made my viewing experience (on a small (macbook) screen) a real drag : (

good luck with life on the mac, i’m sure you’ll enjoy it every day
