I use Safari (almost) exclusively. But it seems to be hogging a ton of processor resources. It can top 70%. Is this because I’m running 2.0.4 under OS X 10.4.9 on a creaky old PowerBook Ti (1GHz DVI)? Or is it because Safari is a resource hog?

Inserting a link into a mail is achieved by pressing Command+Shift+I (at least on my Mac), not as described in the post “Option-Ctrl-I”.

Here are a couple other Safari tricks I use all the time:

- command-i: generates a new Mail document containing the current web page
- command-click on a window’s title bar allows you to navigate a web page’s hierarchy. I find this more useful than snapback.
