""You can also choose to show holidays from any country, events from your calendars in iCal, and Birthdays from your Address Book.""

They don't have to be just from your Address Book or iCal. They can be customized date like "grandmas & grandpas 53rd wedding anniversary" or "little Johnnys first day of something".

So what if people don't want to wait 3 weeks and spend $19.00 (USD) without tax on 1 high quality calendar?
Save it as a PDF(File>Print>PDF>Save As PDF) and send it via email on a CD by what ever means you prefer to any run of the mill digital printing company that will print it in high quality and on top of that for $19.00 (USD) you might get up to 5 calendars and you don't have to wait up to three weeks or longer for Apple to return your calendar.
