High Priority: Get Things Done With Your Menu Bar

High Priority LogoTo-do lists are the center-point of any productive person, and iCal makes this pretty easy. However, if you want an even easier way to add to-dos, High Priority brings that to your menu bar. With a simple click, or keyboard shortcut, you can easily view your to-dos and have real-time feedback on their status.

High Priority 1.11 is also thankfully now compiled as a universal binary.

Items can be removed and added from the menu with a keystroke, as well as invoking the menu itself, so you can have full keyboard control of your to-dos. Tasks that are close to being overdue can be highlighted so you get to them sooner, and High Priority also interacts with iCal’s to-do list, so you don’t double up on tasks. Even the colors you use for your to-do’s in iCal can be used in High Priority so you can associate them easier. A simple application that’s cheap (only US$6, but when used unregistered, does everything except let you add new tasks) and does what it says and can increase your productivity with ease. You can grab High Priority here.

been using high priority for about 7 months now and love it…super easy to add events without launching ical, but it’s integrated with ical and displays and synchs everything and even allows for you to color code and sort by priority and stuff…certainly worth the six bucks to encourage development, otherwise i know of no free utility that does this same thing…
