I've gotten several student internship interviews with fortune 50 companies partly because of beta testing work I've done with a very successful piece of Mac OS X software. I didn't get any of the jobs, but they took my beta testing experience very seriously. Obviously skill, education and attitude are far more important but in my case a notable beta testing reference at least got me in the door. @E.T. Cook

Put it on your resume? If someone ever sent me a resume with claims of being a beta tester for some small app...I would laugh him out of the office...maybe give him a job just for being so audacious.
