I noticed the activation process is pretty much ironed out with the release of IAsign for OS X today. Sadly development on unlocking seems to have stalled out a bit with the need for some skilled ARM coders :/

I just activated my iPhone in Canada using the fake address method. Using the DVD Jon method will negate the use of mail and some other features. My money is on full unlock within 7 days the way things are progressing…
