iPhone Full Unlock: TurboSIM Hack Confirmed
Alright this is not, I repeat NOT, a software hack that plays a nice unlocking sound when your iPhone is ready to use. What it is though is a confirmed way to unlock an iPhone off of AT&T using a small SIM card tool called a TurboSIM.
The hack grants you full iPhone usage: Calls in/out, SMS in/out, Edge, etc. I can see a few people on the Bladox forums as well as Hackint0sh forums have done this successfully. I also saw a few people unlocking and discussing this on Undernet in #iphone.TurboSIM. So to reiterate the iPhone has been fully unlocked but you will require a blank TurboSIM, some ssh skills, and you must physically cut both your AT&T and personal SIM card to fit the TurboSIM. Also before you try this yourself you might consider that a full software hack requiring no special hardware, cannot be far off now (days?). In fact, another well known iPhone hacker (Not from the ‘Official’ iPhone Dev Team), who wishes to remain nameless, said this to me in IRC just now:

I met with the guys from Yessim in Montreal and they claim that they CAN unlock my iPhone3G. First they will jailbreak my phone and then implement Yessim! only for 10$, looks amazing but I’m still thinking what to do.
anyone ever thought that by installing this turbosim, might be some kind of way to spy on you or listen to your conversations or just to steal personal data ?

I tested turbosim on 2.2.1 baseband 2.30.03 version. working perfetly with tmobile in usa . conformed. 100% . i can call in and out , sms send and recive, edege works perfectly. damm this is the good thing without breaking software u can use with any carrier,
no complaint with turbosim, i am happiest person now. go to hell att in usa.

I had with the TurboSIM Card only problem, whom i drive from one city to another city, i had lost my mobile connection and always i had to switch my sim card in another Natel Device, because i loos at the same time also the posibility with the iPhon to activate the sim again, it was displayed always the error message, the service provider could not be connected.
Turbo SIM or whatever else, the principle is alwas the same, therefore i prefer to wait on the DEV Team.
