I bought one iphone 4g 32Gbs white after two hours of work i restarted and was asking for restor i tried so many times to restore but giving error 9 finaly it restored, but when it restarted it is showing no service with and without sim and emergency call, also unknown IMEI and unknown ICCID.

I live in Los Angeles and use tmobile. I need to connect through wifi at my house as tmobile’s signal isn’t strong enough. I want to get a unlocked iphone3gs. Can I buy the phone and unlock it using tmobile or do i need to first have a att contract for a moment? I will still need to use the wifi in my house but will i get 3g elsewhere or only edge?

One last question. Is it just as easy to buy phone and unlock as to buy a more expensive unlocked phone?

i havnt been able to find a way to unlock my iphone, i did a factory reset, and am stuck on the emergency calls screen. i dont have access to itunes so i need a FREE way to unlock my phone with out itunes. it seems odd that i’m having this much trouble with the iphone, i think i might go back to androids, iphones are a hassel and not worth the time.

So, one day my boyfriend surprised me with an iphone 3g unlocked and jailbroken. Original carrier: FIDO
Currently living in France with an SFR sim, everything was going great until…
I plugged into itunes to download a few songs, clicked ‘yes’, et voila: SIM no longer recognized. It seems that I upgraded my firmware to 4.2.1 (*&^%!) and deleted Cydia (&^%$)
Making it go from bad to worse:
Thinking that a downgrade would be the wise thing to do in order to unlock and jailbreak this lovely gift (As I read that there was no jailbreak for 4.2.1), I think I downgraded, but now have on my hands an iphone 3G stuck in emergency call mode.
1-How I know if the firmware downgrade to 4.0 was successful.
2-How do I jailbreak and unlock this phone without a FIDO (Canada) sim card to get it operating and out of emergency call only mode?
3-I think there is a baseband ‘thing’of 5.14.4
4-Is it Pwnage, Blackrain, RedSn0w???

Help me please, someone, who knows something, who can tell me exactly what I need to download into itunes, to upload, and so on, so I can play Angry Birds, message friends back home, and google at my whim… (I can’t even access the wifi)
Please note that I am a complete techno weenie (clearly)

Why did I click YES, but whhhhhhyyyyyy????

HELPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!
I have the first gen. iPhone and it has been unlocked twice before .
I accidentally updated it the first time, and i let somebody fix it for me.
the second time i was downloading themes from Cydia and my phone froze rebooting.
I have no idea what to do because iTunes doesnt even recognize it , the screen is just blank but the Pineapple Logo shows up and thats it.
