The systems always use system memory instead of a dedicated bank of RAM. This slows the system down and it slows the "accelerator" down. My MacBook has to turn its fans on full when I'm doing something as simple as viewing a YouTube video. My aunt's iMac on the other hand has a proper video card, and you never hear its fans kick in. My previous computer, an iBook was the same - never a fan to be heard unless something was blocking the exhaust ports. Unless this shiny new system has some advantage other than cost over a proper video card I just can't see buying another MacBook, no matter how much less expensive they are. In most of my experience out here in Asia this is usually true. Leopard was here on release day but hardware takes a bit longer.
