Apparently the new version of Delicious Library will allow you to track household tools (like hammer, wrench, table saw, etc.) as well:

I am using the alpha version for a some time now and I really like the simplicity of things.
can't wait till it finally hits final status.

I was lucky enough to get an alpha of things from the beginning and have been using it for a bit over a month now. It's a beautifully simple app that does what you need it to and doesn't get in the way. I've used every gtd app for os x and I saw this app and pestered the devs ( who are quite responsive and seem to be really great guys) enough to get a copy. Apparently they are in the process of mailing out invites for the beta now and said they will be done by the end of the year. So I suppose sign up on their website for a preview copy and hopefully everyone will be given a shot to test this out.

oh and i've tried it on both tiger and leopard and it works perfectly on both

I've been using things (the alpha) that the guys at Culture Code hooked me up with for a few days now - I REALLY like it. I've been using iGTD for months and it just became WAY too complicated to use. I still have to work on it a bit more but the software works pretty seemlessly, looks great and has almost no learning curve.

I'm pretty excited for TextMate 2 as well...I hope us MacHeist licensees get some type of a discount off the full price! I'm also interested to see how Things compares to OmniFocus.

I can't wait for all these! TextMate and Delicious Library I have been waiting for forever it seems (but then again, I blame Apple for delaying leopard ;-)), and I recently discovered Things and I am really looking forward to it too! :)

@Sven - I had emailed the Midnight Inbox people about a month ago and hadn't received a reply, but I think I may dig into that again, and see if I can get my hands on the beta. I can see a Things vs. OmniFocus vs. Midnight Inbox post coming in the future :)

@Sjaq - Thanks for the clarification. I had just assumed that the MH bundle licenses were considered full-no-strings-attached licenses.

@Jack - I had completely forgotten about Headline. At the moment I am pretty happy with Cyndicate, but Headline may be able to sway me if it does its job well.

DL2 is one of the main reasons I upgraded to Leopard since it will be Leopard only... looking forward to the new database (backing up craploads of image files sucks) and the built in HTML export. Screenshots of the new interface can be dug up pretty easily and there's even a test library for the HTML export.
Here's the HTML test area: http://www.delicious-monster.com/two/
Here's some screenshots of the new version and some details: http://theocacao.com/document.page/505

I' am pretty sure Things will also be Tiger compatible. They would limit their potential market too much by limiting to Leopard. But you may also want to take a look at Midnight Inbox 2 which should also come into private beta soon. Seems that we have a nice competition between OmniFocus, Midnight Inbox and Things - I can't make up my mind either before I had my hand on Things or Midnight Inbox 2.
