chmst1999 – I had the same problem but discovered that by going to File>Page Setup then selecting “Manage Custom Sizes” I was able to establish a “Recipe Card” and set the size to 5″ x 6″. I have also created a 3″ x 5″ card. Once established you can use this anywhere in the system.

Use your program with pleasure but today it does start up but I can’t get the recipes.

I’m unable to print to 3×5 cards. When I print, it only allows full-page, and I can only print one recipe at a time. Am I missing something or is this not an available function?

Really easy to use, FREE program that makes entering, saving, and printing recipes a breeze, even for a neophyte. This may be the best of its kind, so far.

Re: Admin pw request

I emailed the developer and he told me following:

– If you are not running as administrator, it will ask for the password. The reason is that it needs to install a schema file at /Library/Application Support/Shallot Patch/Measuring Cup/foodRecipe_1_0.xsd. It is installed at the /Library level so that other users can share it as well.

So double thumbs up to the dev for both an excellent app and fantastic support. Cheers!

I like the idea of this, but why does it ask for my admin password when i start it? Is there a way to check what it is doing and why? details just says Right: system.privilege.admin but not why measuring cup needs it.

Looks interesting, even if it uses the now-deprecated Aqua drawers. I’ve tried all the shareware recipe organisers, and none of them works quite right. I look forward to giving this one a shot.
