Delio on February 29th, 2008 2:25 pm Audacity is a joke. Probably the worst audio software I’ve ever used. REAPER for full, pro-tools-like multi-track editing is fantastic. Totally professional quality. While not actually free, the trial version is entirely uncrippled, and after the trial period, the software remains fully functional with a brief nag window on startup. Indispensable for the amateur studio wannabe!

I love cog(ogg, flac player) for its simplicity and reliability.
HPULoad can help monitor your productivity.
Mlnet is a single binary yet more powerful than windows Emule in several ways.
G4Fancontrol and Grandperspective are helpful when you’re in a hot room or you used out of space.
