to write multiple tags jsut hit return after every tag – thats like in every other “os x tag field”

to avoid loss of data simply lock the app and I am working on a solution to get the update done by a script

data is stored as corde date – thats nothing else than sql-lightâ€¦

The best one out there is unquestionably Journler. It has plethora of functions and although its developers plan to distribute it as a shareware once, it’s still freeware for now and I think it’s simply great. Check it out for yourselves: http://journler.com/

I might try this app, but the tag issues will probably annoy me too much. Does anyone recommend any other journaling apps, preferrably freeware?

Storing the data internally could be a major problem — how do you export the data in case the developers scrap the program or you want to move to a different app? What format is the data stored in? How is data synchronised if you have a copy of the app on different machines (and don’t trust a USB memory stick to hold all your data on its own).

All questions that need answering before anyone should really start relying on this application for their journal. Definitely questions that needed answering before you tell people they don’t have to worry about losing data with it.
