Today I downloaded and installed GarageSale 4.0 via their software update utility in Garage Sale 3.4. Unfortunately I over look that it was a paid update. Probably because in all my years working with software venders I’ve never come across an instance where a developer as used their software update utility to push a “pay-for-upgrade.”

Their tech support office recommended that I down grade to 3.4.3. This solution is unacceptable because it means that I’ll loose all of my past work. Let’s hope they make good on their dissipative download practice.

Yes, it is the 24th… does that mean the giveaway has ended, or does it end later today? I have a ton of stuff to sell with GarageSale. Lots of books, some computer parts, and a wireless video transmitter/receiver pair. And much, much more, so act now!

I would use GarageSale 4 to help me get rid of all the crap the former owner of my house left in the garage. Most of it’s too good to throw in the trash, but, at the same time, nothing I want to keep. I’d donate the proceeds to my kids’ school.

I am moving house (interstate) and I have found so much stuff I should sell rather than cart it all interstate. From PC’s, CD’s, furniture and books, everything will probably go on ebay. I just bought my first mac after being a pc user for 15 years…hey, this could be my first bit of mac software! I’ll probably give it a shot anyway.

I would love this to sell the home gym system in my garage that is serving as a divider to store stuff we don’t have anywhere else to put it and my wife’s tupperware (shhhhhh don’t tell her I said that:).
