there’s another way to download and convert videos from virtually any page that has embedded .flv-s. real agent, downloaded from real networks is the first step to download the flv file and isquint converts it in .mp4, even with H.264 encoding.

There’s also a “hackers” freeware version to download youtube videos
While watching the video in Safari press alt-cmd-a
This will bring up the activity window, that shows all currently open websites and their contents
There you will find an element that’s called “get_video” (see http://skitch.com/axelgschaider/pkas/aktivitat for a snapshot). A double click on this element will download the video. You just have to add the extension “.flv” to the file…
