Juice Phone Video Review: Access iPhone Backup Files
-very stable
-fast performance
-doesn't remember past extraction folders
iPhone backups may slow down your sync time, but they’re necessary and convenient in the event of a restore. Recently, several mac applications have been deployed to make the most of these sizable backups. Jailbreak iPhone users will benefit the most from these apps as a restore is as easy as drag and drop. But, there are other uses for the goodies that JuicePhone produces.
JuicePhone from addPod extracts iPhone backups into a folder on you hard drive. It basically simulates looking at your iphone /var/mobile folder. Take a look at this video to see JuicePhone in action:

JuicePhone makes extraction easy. Just identify the iPhone back up you want to extract, and set up an extraction folder and JuicePhone sets up a pulp free glass of photos, audio, and plists. My only peeve about the app was that the next time I juiced an iPhone backup, I needed to re-identify the extraction folder. JuicePhone won’t remember this for you.
JuicePhone allows you to access music tracks from Tap Tap, voice notes from Jott, and some other sweet content that you normally wouldn’t have access to. Also, in case something screwy happens with your iphone restore, you’ll be able to access those camera photos you forgot to import into iPhoto. If you jailbreak your iPhone, you’ll be able to use ssh to restore application settings, preferences, network passwords and logins.
I just like this app because it lets me actually access something that would normally just sit there and eat up HD space. You don’t have disobey Apple to find this app useful, but those anarchists who want to play choppy NES games on their WOW customized homescreen background will find this app most useful. JuicePhone is a free app from our German friends at addPod.
