Quick Tip: Thread View in Mail.app
Gmail has always had some features that Mail.app does not have. One feature that users of Gmail love is Thread view, which allows you to view and sort messages by thread and not just by title. Well, whether you knew it or not, this feature is also available in Mail.app. To enable it, just go to View > Organize By Thread in Mail.app. From there, if you want to expand all of the threads, just go to View > Expand All Threads. And if you want to contract all of the threads, just go to View > Contract All Threads.

What this feature does not do, however, is fix the wonkiness of Mail.app’s Similar Messages feature. It is supposed to find messages in the same thread as others, but it really just searches by title. If you have two messages titled “Hello,” or “Re: Hello,” then they will be considered part of the same thread. Still, this can be a great and very helpful feature.

Cool feature, might use it if I return back to using Mail, but right now I like using web interfaces.
And Mail doesn’t group sent and received messages in the same thread. This is the one feature that keeps me from using Mail.app as my primary email client.
@Aaron: You can have threads with both sent and received messages by creating a new Smart Mailbox which contains message from Inbox and Sent mailboxes, then sort that Smart Mailbox by threads.
Strangely enough I just figured I this. Thanks though.
