Together Review: Keep Your Files Together
The more files you put on your hard drive, the harder it is to keep track of them. If you organize them well it can be much easier, though. But organization takes time, and sometimes that’s something we just don’t have. There is no way around the time issue, but there is a way to make it easier. Instead of acting on your files as soon as you download them, put them in an inbox and organize them when you have the time. Today I will talk about an app that can help you with this, called Together, by Reinvented Software.

Mac Games Arcade Review: The Mac Gamer’s Answer to Steam?
![]()
Digital distribution has long been a part of the purchasing power of Mac users, and yet in the past few years organized digital distribution services have become all the rage amongst Windows-based PC gamers. Services like Steam and Direct2Drive have been offering PC gamers an online storefront from which they could purchase all of the leading and independent games of the day. Mac gamers though? We’ve been left out in the cold…until now. Inside Mac Games, the proprietors of such sites as MacGameStore.com and MacGameFiles.com, has recently launched Mac Games Arcade. But is it everything we’d hoped for?
Hidden Features in Google iPhone App

The most recent release of the Google Mobile App for iPhone received a lot of attention for including a new voice search feature. Now, it turns out that version has something else noteworthy: a hidden settings page that lets you change colors, sound effects, and more.
These aren’t particularly jaw-dropping features, but the way they’re hidden is kind of interesting (which I’ll leave as an exercise for the reader). It’s also notable because there’s been, as far as I know, very few “Easter eggs” found in iPhone apps so far.
Google Mobile App is free and available from Google in the App Store.

Two Crossword Apps Go Head to Head
Crossword puzzles are great time-wasters. But, we have come a long way from paper crossword puzzles, so I am going to be talking about two iPhone and iPod Touch crossword puzzle apps.
Crosswords is definitely the most feature-rich of the two. It supports both landscape and portrait modes, and even includes a small, medium and large keyboard. Because they created their own keyboard, they were also able to ad features like holding down the backspace button to delete a clue or the whole puzzle. And, if you hold down on any key, you can put in numbers (instead of having to switch to another keyboard). Although that is very nice, it actually can end up taking longer than just switching to another keyboard. But, it’s not very often that you need numbers in crossword puzzles.
Boxee Soon to Open Its Doors to All
Many sites have been abuzz for a little while now about a piece of software called Boxee. Maybe you’ve heard of it? If not that’s fine as this can serve as a brief introduction to a very nice piece of media center software. Forums were filling up with post after post of people wanting invites to try out Boxee. The reason for this was since due to the wanting to scale their server architecture. They kept things under control by using an invite system. Well that’s all about to change.
iNeedStuff Shopping Assistant Review: Grocery List App That Learns As You Shop
The shopping list section of the App Store is a crowded place. With as many as there are, it’s surprising that so few of those apps take full advantage of the iPhone’s features. One that does is iNeedStuff Shopping Assitant, by PDAscent, Inc. This handy application includes location-awareness and online syncing.
