Espresso Review: One-Window Web Developing
OS X gives you all the tools you need to make a Web site. However, using Apple’s TextEdit, all you see is the text, no syntax highlighting, organization of anything else. Then, a while ago, Coda was released, and gave us a great interface and IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for the Internet. Now, there is a new kid on the block that directly competes with Coda. It is Espresso by MacRabbit.
Espresso is a one-window app. Everything that can be done is done in its main window. There are three sections to this window: Workspace, Project and Publish. There are also project settings which can be found in the toolbar.
Cha-Ching Touch Review: On the Go Financing App
Cha-Ching, for Mac OS X, has been a very popular finance application. But the problem with the desktop app is that you need to remember to add your transactions to Cha-Ching when you get home. Now, with Cha-Ching Touch, you can easily add purchases anywhere with your iPhone or iPod Touch.
When you open Cha-Ching you first have to enter your (optional) four digit pass code. Then the safe opens and you can access your accounts. For each account you can view the current balance and your transactions. You can view your transactions from this month, flagged transactions, search transactions, or view your history. There is also a button to add a transaction. Tap this, choose a payee, and enter the amount to quickly add transactions on the go.
GoodFood Review: Easy, Simple Knowledge of Where to Eat
“Twitter for reviews” is how CEO and co-founder Mihir Shah describes his companies latest application in a conversation we had about his iphone app: GoodFood. The former Yahoo! Senior Product Manager for Web and Mobile Search says current review sites are not effective for on-the-go users. His product gives you a Twitter-ish 160 characters to rate a restaurant and in this review I’ll point out what I flat-out loved and what you need to watch out for.

Shortly after merging their programming the newly formed company declared this past February that it may have to file for bankruptcy. And while they averted any immediate shuttering of their doors thanks to an investment from Liberty Media, the satellite radio universe knows it’s on thin ice.
