- Too expensive
- Should sync with the calendar

There are a lot of To-Do lists in the App store, many are free and many have a lot of features, some cost a bit of money and some are free. Things is among that list of To-Do list Apps, it is a simple yet in-depth program that allows for neat organization, and simplicity. There are a lot of To-Do lists that have many advanced features, and next to no features but things is crafted in such a way which makes it extremely easy to use.

Once Things is first launched, the first thing you will notice is different folders to store items to do. The categories are set up for when you think of something you need to do you can just put it right in a category for easy organization, for instance if you need to complete something on a later date you can input that in the scheduled folder. Once something has been completed you simply check it off, Things will move it to the Logbook folder, Things keeps a record of all of your entries in there, they can also be deleted from the log book for privacy.

Planning projects is another plus, adding a project allows sub to-dos to be added, for instance if your planning a wedding you can add Plan Wedding to your project list, set a due date when you want it done by, then you can go into the project and add items that need to be completed in there.

On top of all of the organization Things has a sister program for your Mac, called Things as well, which will allow you to sync your To-Do lists back and fourth between your Mac and iPhone over Wi-Fi. The only downside to Things is it does not sync with your calendar, allowing this would put the icing on the cake. Also $9.99 for this app is a bit much when there are dozens of other To-Do lists in the app store. If you dont mind paying the extremely high price and need to get organized then this App is definitely for you.

I’ve been using Things daily on my iPod Touch and my Mac for quite a long time (basically since it first launched), and it has continually helped me to manage my daily chores and important projects, in a simple (if a little sluggish) interface. However, it lacks a couple of features that would make it a truly killer app:

-iTunes sync: the only way to sync items between the iPhone and the Mac is via Wi-Fi. It’s easy and fast, but it adds an unnecessary step that has to be performed regularly.

-Widescreen mode: having to input all the text in vertical mode is very annoying. Using the full widescreen keyboard would be much more useful.

Over all, it’s a very interesting app, that only needs a little polish here and there to be really outstanding.

This app showed a lot of promise when it was first released (I purchased the iPhone and the Mac versions… they work best in sync with each other)… .but they’ve been frustratingly slow to update.

    I’ve migrated over to 2do.

Was great when it first came out but so slow to update and it’s been superceded by many other programs now, both free and paid!

I’m still waiting, maybe unwisely, for Potion Factory to release The Hit List for iPhone.

I love things more than I can possibly say… it has changed the way I do my work and track my projects. LOVE IT.

That said, it could stand a few tweaks, but what couldn’t?

I tried THINGS… and really wanted to like it, but it just felt too limited – at least for me. Went with OmniFocus instead and have NO regrets.

There have been some rumors going about that Apple has pulled AirPrint from the final release of iOS 4.2. Apparently, a rumor came about yesterday claiming that Apple has axed the feature from the iOS 4.2 final release because of some unforeseen circumstances. Distraught by the speculated exemption of the features, a customer decided to shoot Steve Jobs a letter about it to get a further understanding of the matter. Steve replied saying that AirPrint has not been cut from the final version of the anticipated software update.
