Apparently, a rumor came about yesterday claiming that Apple has axed the feature from the iOS 4.2 final release because of some unforeseen circumstances. Distraught by the speculated exemption of the features, a customer decided to shoot Steve Jobs a letter about it to get a further understanding of the matter. Deaf people - with a capital D - are those that use ASL as their primary form of communication. Deaf people never call themselves "the Hearing Impaired" (to them that means hard of hearing folks) All these articles tripping over themselves and not just calling the Deaf what they are. (I worked for years in the Deaf community, am fluent in ASL and even went to Gallaudet for grad school so trust me on this) Uh, it’s ok to call them “the Deaf,” seriously: that’s what they call themselves.
