New iLife Being Released In August?
Mac4Ever has made claim that Apple will be releasing a new iLife software suite, iLife ’11, on August 7, 2010. The collection of creative applications is also said to include a new app that is unknown. Included with the new package is updates, fixes and enhancements made to Faces and Places on iPhoto, an entire new iWeb application and the extraction of iDVD. MobileMe Gallery is also said to join the pack with the Faces and Places features iPhoto brings

There has been rumors floating about prior to this that Apple was working on iLife and would be releasing it before the year was out, however, there wasn’t an exact date. Not only does Mac4Ever pinpoint an exact date of the software’s release, but they have provided detail on what’s to be expected in the new software lineup. Judging by past releases of iLife, it would seem that Mac4Ever speculation could possibly bear fruit as Apple in the past has released the iLife software with the next year branding. In August of 2007, Apple released iLife ’08. Whats interesting enough is that the date that the source states falls on a Saturday, in which Apple has been known to release new Mac software on a weekend.
If the new iMovie can’t import AVCHD movies then it’s going to be worthless to me.
