iAd Software Now Open For Developers

Apple has made iAd spots available to all developers of the iOS platform. Developers who are interested in using the medium to promote their properties of the iOS software can do so by purchasing spots for their content as well as other products the groups and individuals produce.

“You can now purchase iAd advertising to promote your app to millions of users across the iAd Network. With iAd for Developers, users can download apps from the App Store without leaving the app they’re in. It’s easy to get started, contact us today and learn how you can drive more downloads of your app with iAd for Developers.”

Apple launched the iAd advertising software this quarter with select companies such as Nissan and Disney. Placing for the big companies was mentioned to be as much as a million dollars for a spot on the iOS platform. Apple seems to be letting the developers have a chance to utilize the iAd medium to promote their own products and creations. It is likely that developers will use the software as Apple’s advertising initiative appears to garner much attention from users. One developer has willingly and proudly announced that iAds helped him rake in $1500 in a mere day.

There have been some rumors going vabout that Apple has pulled AirPrint from the final release of iOS 4.2. Apparently, a rumor came about yesterday claiming that Apple has axed the feature from the iOS 4.2 final release because of some unforeseen circumstances. Distraught by the speculated exemption of the features, a customer decided to shoot Steve Jobs a letter about it to get a further understanding of the matter. Steve replied saying that AirPrint has not been cut from the final version of the anticipated software update.
