Jailbreak Allows For 3G FaceTime Calls
As if it wasn’t expected, the ability to use Apple’s FaceTime video calling feature over 3G is now active in the JBed version of iOS. This is made possible by a company called Intelliborn who created the My3G software that makes this happen.
Based on what we have observed, My3G, simply put, makes the same features that are Wi-Fi only usable on 3G networking. Of course, videos have made their way to YouTube demonstrating how FaceTime looks over 3G (we posted one below for your viewing pleasure). While FaceTime does work over 3G (decent we might add), it isn’t smooth like it is over Wi-Fi, which Apple has restricted the software’s use to for obvious reasons.

A lot of questions have been asked about how the new jailbreak is able to be executed through the Safari browser. Seems like there is a hole in the iOS software that the iPhone Dev Team’s comex is exploiting. He even goes as far as to admit that the hole does exist via a tweet.
“how long until someone figures out the actual bug I’m exploiting.”
With that being said, there has been reports that point to a found flaw in the PDF viewer of iOS. Apparently, the site shows a PDF using a specially created font. The processing of the font, more than the PDF viewer itself, is where the magic happens to allow the JB to be initiated right through the browser instead of having to download jailbreak software on your desktop or notebook.
If you can think far back enough, you’ll probably remember a jailbreak similar to this nature back in the iOS 1.x days. Devs wrote up a JB through this avenue and even fixed the exploit after you JB’ed you iDevice.
Apple passed out a fix for something like this to Mac OS owners with the Security Update 2010-003. Only a matter of time before they get wind of this. For right now, there is a temporary way to “fix” this¦kinda. If you’ve JB’ed you iDevice, there really isn’t any way to stop those mean malicious techies we call hackers to use the same PDF method to expose your iOS software to some nasty malware that is capable of¦well¦anything. However, you can install an application called iFile (a file manager) from Cydia and open this .deb file from Will Strafach. If you surf to a site that wants to automatically open a PDF, you will see a warning prompt asking you if you would like to open the PDF. If you are not sure the site can be trusted, simply tap cancel.

Did everybody now when the update ios 4.3 for iphone4 comes?
There have been some rumors going vabout that Apple has pulled AirPrint from the final release of iOS 4.2. Apparently, a rumor came about yesterday claiming that Apple has axed the feature from the iOS 4.2 final release because of some unforeseen circumstances. Distraught by the speculated exemption of the features, a customer decided to shoot Steve Jobs a letter about it to get a further understanding of the matter. Steve replied saying that AirPrint has not been cut from the final version of the anticipated software update.
