Apple seeds Mac OS 10.6.5: Build 10H562

Quick update for those questioning the release of the Mac OS 10.6.5 update. Apple is speeding up the beta releases of the next update to Snow Leopard. Build 10H562 of Mac OS X come just one week after the previous 10H555 build. Again, as with the other build and the one before that one, there are no reported issues with the software. In addition to that, the focus h remained the same asking developers to precision on QuickTime, Graphics, Time Machine, USB Devices and Printing.

This particular build breaks the chain of the every other week schedule that Apple has been releasing beta builds of Mac OS X to developers. With this one clocking in at one week, it could possibly signify that Cupertino is looking to wrap things up and get this out to the public. Many people are estimating that the software will be released next month to compliment the iOS 4.2 update that is on schedule to be delivered on time.

Thanks for keeping your readers informed of progress of the 10.6.5 patch. I *really* look forward to being able to up my graphics settings in SC2. The damned patch
has been reported as being close to release since SC2 was released (back in august).

Well, they have to release it before the iOS 4.2 drop. I agree with you Giz, seems like they are aiming fro somewhere around there.

Does 10.6.5 still have that Adobe crap in it?
    Flash websites?
    There’s a museum for that.

Maybe Apple could do us all a favor and bundle ClickToFlash with 10.6.5.
And have it turned on by default.

Possibly they are getting pressured by games being released with options – ‘requires 10.6.5′ – (not looking at anyone in particular, Blizzard)

There have been some rumors going vabout that Apple has pulled AirPrint from the final release of iOS 4.2. Apparently, a rumor came about yesterday claiming that Apple has axed the feature from the iOS 4.2 final release because of some unforeseen circumstances. Distraught by the speculated exemption of the features, a customer decided to shoot Steve Jobs a letter about it to get a further understanding of the matter. Steve replied saying that AirPrint has not been cut from the final version of the anticipated software update.
