To those who intensely care about this kind of stuff – which would be pretty much everyone in the tech ecosystem – Apple will hold its much-anticipated event on March 2, where the tech giant seems poised to unveil a new version of its hugely successful iPad.
The event is supposed to take place in San Francisco and events like these are usually held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
The iPad 2 is expected to improve speed wise and sport a lighter form factor. Here’s what The Wall Street Journal says:
The new device will be thinner, lighter and will come with a faster processor, more memory and a more powerful graphics processor, said the people familiar with the matter. It will have a front-facing camera for the first time for features like video-conferencing, but the resolution of the new iPad’s display will be similar to the first iPad, they said.
Pictures of screens have also surfaced.
Update: An announcement has been sent saying there will be an event on March 2nd! Here’s what it looks like!
