Apple Updates Apple TV. MLB.tv and NBA League Pass Included
Business Insider noted that Apple will possibly be updating the Apple TV software sometime this week. It seems as though that speculation has come to bear fruit as MLB.tv has announced that they now offer live and streaming content right through Apple TV.
“Enjoy select Spring Training games and a full slate of regular season games on Apple TV.
Regular Season features include:
- HD Quality (where available)
- LIVE and archived games
- Home and away broadcasts*
- Quick navigation to run scoring plays or a particular at bat”
To acquire the feature in your Apple TV, users must have a subscription to MLB.tv. Packages for the services range from $19.99 to $24.99 per month. The NBA has also offered their League Pass service through Apple TV. Users can download live stats from games and get in depth analysis as well. You can even upgrade were you’ll receive the ability to watch live and archived content. Ranges for the video services range from $65 to $100 depending what type of material you are looking for.
Aside from that, the new Apple TV software includes new photo transitions, Dolby 5.1 surround sound for Netflix streaming, and a redesigned onscreen keyboard.
