Apple Releases iOS 4.3.1 / Apple Releases Xcode 4.0.1
Cupertino has released a minor update go the iOS software. iOS 4.3.1 addresses several issues with the software that the company has been working on since the initial 4.3 update. From the release notes, iOS 4.3.1 administers fixes to:
“This update contains improvements and other bug fixes including:
- Fixes an occasional graphics glitch on iPod touch (4th generation)
- Resolves bugs related to activating and connecting to some cellular networks
- Fixes image flicker when using Apple Digital AV Adapter with some TVs
- Resolves an issue authenticating with some enterprise web services”
Prior to this release, there was word about that Apple planned to release the software within one to two weeks. Following up on the report, a discovery was made in the update that showed that the iPhone’s battery life is improved with the software, suggesting that it was one of the features of the update. However, the battery improvements still remain to be seem and confirmed.
The new update is now available and compatible with the iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPad 2, and the third and fouth-gen iPod touch. The CDMA iPhone is not supported this time around, leaving it as the only device still with a 4.2 branding.
Apple Releases Xcode 4.0.1
Alongside the iOS update, Cupertino has released Xcode 4.0.1. This update addresses some of the issues on the development software for Mac OS X and iOS.

- Fixed a bug in “Install Xcode.app” that hangs at 99% complete, never finishing
- Fixed a bug that prevented indexing of some projects

- Fixed a bug in LLVM GCC 4.2 and LLVM compiler 2.0 for iOS projects
- Additional bug fixes and stability improvements”
Xcode is available for free to all developers who are a member of Apple’s Development Program. If you are not a member of the program, you can pick up Xcode from the Mac App Store for $4.99.

Time Warner is not the only group thinking of streaming live TV to the iPad, Cablevision has now stated that they are developing an application that will allow the user to watch live TV on their device. Viacom, Fox, Discovery and a number of other cable companies have disputed hierarchy concerns with Time Warner which has forced the company to reconsider and offer other channels.
