Apple Releasing iOS 4.3 Today?
The Boy Genius Report is chiming in today that Apple will be releasing iOS 4.3 this morning (this afternoon of you are on the east coast). While we would originally dismiss this claim if it was coming from anyone else, BGR has an impressive track record for targeting software release dates from Cupertino. However, it does cause one to scratch their heads being that Apple has already announced that they will be releasing the iOS 4.3 software update along side the launch of the iPad 2 on the 13th of March. The Golden Master version of the software was released last week.
Apple Discussing Unlimited Music Downloads Ahead of MobileMe Remodel.
This week. Bloomberg chimes in that Apple is currently in discussion with a number of music labels into allowing the company to grant users the ability to download purchased music an unlimited amount of times on devices that are registered to a corresponding iTunes account. If Apple and the labels come to an agreement, Apple would be able to allow customers to use the remodeling of MobileMe as a “digital locker” where the user can stream his content to “x” number of devices that are registered to do so
Apple Releases iTunes 10.2 for iOS 4.3 Compatibility and Improve Home Sharing
With the introduction of the new iPad and its very close release date, Apple has appropriately released iTunes 10.2 to allow users to manage content on the new device and software. It also helps apple devices with the iOS 4.3 software to be managed through iTunes as well. Home Sharing has been improved to allow users to browse through content from a machines iTunes with the iPad, iPod, iPhone, despite the fact the software doesn’t make its debut to a iTunes near you until March 11.

Apple Seeds iOS 4.3 GoldenMaster to Developers. [update]
Apple has released the GoldenMaster version of iOS 4.3 to developers, indicating that the company is wrapping up the project and is getting ready for release of the update for March 11.
The iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, third and fourth generation iPod, the iPad and iPad 2 are all eligible to receive the update, the iPad 2 already shipping with the software updated to the machine already.
The Boy Genius Report speculated that Apple has placed the software on the GoldenMaster list and correctly predicted the release of the build issued this week
GarageBand and iMovie for iPad to Launch March 11
With the introduction of the new iPad set to hit shelves March 11, Apple introduced some new software that will also be making a launch on iPad 2 day to complement the purchase of the new tablet computer. Cupertino has managed to bring GarageBand and iMovie to the iPad.
iOS 4.3 Coming March 11
The iPad has been presented this week and alongside its introduction, iOS 4.3 made its appearance and will be shipped with the new iPad. Apple also announced that the iOS 4.3 software update will be available on the same day the new iPad will be on Apple Store tables and shelves: March 11. As you may know, iOS 4.3 will present a number of new features such as iTunes Home Sharing and possibly the most anticipated feature, the Personal Hotspot.
Apple Launching New Social App This Week?
In the midst of the iPad-oriented event, there has been speculation that Apple is planning on release an social application for the iOS platform.
“Specifically, our source speculates that the app could have some sort of media sharing and location sharing features. Maybe photo sharing.
It could be part of Ping, it could replace Ping, it could be part of MobileMe (which may go free), or it could be separate — our source isn’t sure. But this person says that if there is a surprise at the event, this could be it. (Or, who knows, maybe it won’t be announced until WWDC, or never.)”
Twitter for iOS Updates to 3.3!
Twitter has updated their client on the iPhone and iPad to version 3.3. This version includes multiple updates to the interface, and a couple features that make following friends and tweeting quicker and easier.
Twitter’s client used to be known as Tweetie, but was later puchased from Atebits and transformed into one of the most popular Twitter clients for iOS.

Apple Updates iTunes to 10.2 for Compatibility with iOS 4.3
Apple recently updated its media hub iTunes to version 10.2 for compatibility with its soon-to-be-released update to its iOS. With this update, iOS 4.3 users will be able to sync their computers with their iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches. The iOS 4.3 update is due Friday, March 11th.
The update brings enhancements to iTunes’s “Home Sharing” feature – making the updated iOS devices able to browse and play home shared libraries straight from the OS. Note that this happens over a required WiFi network which both devices have to be connected to.
BBM for iPhone?
TUAW and BGR have reported rumors saying that the popular messaging system known as Blackberry Messenger is coming to iOS.
Details are sparse but the Canadian handset manufacturer reportedly wants to own the messaging space and can propel itself forward by opening its popular Messenger service to other platforms.
TUAW also states that RIM is also working on an Android version and that there might be problems getting the iOS version past Apple’s App Store guidelines.
