Google Updates Maps Web App
Google has recently updated their web interface to their Map’s service viewable on mobile browsers such as mobile Safari. The update includes the ability to view your current location, give suggestions when entering locations, clickable icons, directions for when you are driving, walking, biking, and taking a transit system, the ability to view satellite, traffic, and other views as well as much more. Sounds like the built in iPhone Maps app! Well, now you can do all of these things straight through Safari via maps.google.com. Enjoy!
No iOS 5 for iPhone 3G(s)
The word is out. Eldar Murtazin, editor-in-chief of the Russian mobile device blog Mobile-Review, tweeted that the next installment to the iOS linage, iOS 5, will not be compatible with the iPhone 3G. This would in turn mean that only the iPhone 4 and later reiterations of the iPhone will be the only phone devices from Apple compatible with iOS 5
