Facebook Now iPhone Friendly

Facebook LogoNow that the iPhone has hit it big with consumers, popular websites are now scrambling to make mobile versions of their websites that work well with the iPhone. One website that recently went “iPhone friendly” is Facebook. If you are an iPhone user, you can access the iPhone version of Facebook here.

Honestly, the creation of this one didn’t make much sense to me considering Steve Jobs had promised to bring the whole wide web onto the iPhone. Why not just access the regular facebook instead of having a mobile version? Maybe it was the reason that loading a normal profile on facebook with a fair bit of stuff took eternity; double-tapping all the time exhausted the Opponens Pollicis (thumb muscles), and sometimes even logged me off!

Mundu IM: Stay Connected on your iPhone

Mundu IM“Gah! You can’t IM on the phone!” became a ubiquitous saying all over blogs overnight. However, I was the odd one out since I’d already figured out meebo works the first day I got one. That discovery allowed me to be in touch with my friends wherever I was.

However, as all products are, it came with its own share of annoying problems. Slowly, more and more solutions came out, but none impressed me as much as this Indian company’s take on the IM problem, Mundu IM. Although I was reluctant at first since I was used to Meebo, my friend forced me to check it out and I’m glad I did.

Neurovascular Surgeon Saves Lives Via iPhone

Since the arrival of Apple’s stylish iPhone, every user has found some kind of unique & creative way to make their iPhone more convenient. According to the Wall Street Journal, Robert Singer, a neurovascular surgeon, did just that. He alleges that last month he wouldn’t have had performed the right operation on the patient if it wasn’t for his iPhone; to reiterate, the guy would have died.

Now don’t get too excited thinking he used the iPhone as a substitute for one of the fancy whatchamacallits brain surgeons use, but in a way you could say it was similar.
