We’ve been doing a lot of it lately and we certainly plan to keep at it. Who doesn’t like free Mac booty? Today we are giving away copies of rooSwitch, maybe the ultimate OS X profile manager.

Well you can’t say we don’t like to give stuff away here at MacApper. We’ve been doing a lot of it lately and we certainly plan to keep at it. Who doesn’t like free Mac booty? Today we are giving away copies of rooSwitch, maybe the ultimate OS X profile manager.

And now, the 3 randomly picked winners of licensed copies of rooSwitch by Roobasoft are.

Oops you will need to click through to see if you’ve won

1. Mike, “I second using with devon think, itunes, iweb. Basically it is useful for anyone who uses an app for more than one reason. I'd likely use it with iWeb and iTunes the most.”

2. Sjaq, “I would use it as dock switcher. That's really nice when developing. just make 2 profiles for Camino and my Dock or so, so I can change in to “developer mode on my iMac¦”

3. Nate C, “I think i could really use rooSwitch for downloading documents, files, songs, etc. I mean, it would be helpful to seperate my downloaded games, from files and documents. i would probably put two profiles of Acquisition, and xTorrent, so that i can easily seperate my downloads/torrents.”

Congratulations guys.

The licenses have been sent, so check your inbox! Thanks to the great guys at Roobasoft for making giveaways like this happen.

Or maybe you’ve wanted to create a home and work version of your favorite must-have applications? Well thanks to rooSwitch from roobaSoft, you can! rooSwitch is good for people who want to create multiple profiles of their applications, and it does it all with ease. rooSwitch allows you to drag and drop an app within itself and easily add profiles to your favorite programs, allowing many users access to the app with different settings for both. If you share your Mac with someone else this app is for you.

There’s not much I can say about rooSwitch as the application possesses a simplistic design, and is super easy to use. It performs one task, and it performs it very well. For the $14.95 price tag, rooSwitch is a great buy for people who know they want multiple profiles for their applications, and for users who share one user account with multiple people.

QuickShareIt is probably the simplest, yet most useful, of file sharing apps I have seen. Sharing a file with the program is as easy as dragging the soon-to-be-shared file to the QuickShareIt icon. Keeping the application open at all times allows for easy access to the file host at all times! Although QuickShareIt is still in the beta stages, I cannot point out any flaws nor find anywhere to suggest improvement.

Start sharing in 3 easy steps…

Download the QuickShareIt application from this link and drag the file to your Applications folder.

Open the QuickShareIt application.

Drag any file you want to share to the QuickShareIt icon in the dock. Drag multiple files at once and it will automatically place them in a ZIP file for you!

The official feature list includes:

Send Files to Anyone (It doesn’t matter if they use QuickShareIt or not, PC, Mac or Linux, if they can browse websites, they can download your file.)

Easily Upload Any Type of File

Quicker and More Convienent than ImageShack, YouSendIt or anything else!

Unlimited Bandwidth (Serve it to the world!)

Drag & Drop 1 File or 100 Files (Multiple files or folders automatically get zipped before they’re uploaded)

Get the URL to your file FAST! (QuickShareIt automatically copies the URL to your clipboard)

Growl Support

Dock Badge Status Notifications

Upload up to 100MB files

And best of all, It’s Free!

QuickShareIt manages to pack the features of a more advanced filehost, into a small easy to use package. Grab QuickShareIt here.

Many apps have great features, but are sometimes missing just a little bit of functionality. SIMBL, a piece of software from Mike Sullivan, allows the user to add additional features to pretty much any app. From changing the color of the Terminal window, to writing text on the back of windows, SIMBL makes life on the Mac a bit more interesting.

Through a plugin system, SIMBL allows the user to do virtually anything. One example of a SIMBL plugin is PitHelmet. With PitHelmet, one has the ability to easily remove ads and other annoying elements from websites.

SIMBL is a really great addon to OS X, and in a lot of cases provides absent functionality for apps. Even if an application is coded just the way you like it does not mean that SIMBL can not improve upon it. Installation is simple and easy, and you will be setting up plugins in no time.

SIMBL can be downloaded here.
