OK, this problem really isn't with my wifi network. Ever since I bought the Airport Extreme, my wireless network has been smokin' fast! The problem is whenever my MacBook is turned on and connected, our cordless phone gets so staticy, it's unusable. I have the AE set on 5GHz (802.11N) and the phone runs on 5.8GHz. We've tried changing the channel on both units but the problem isn't going away. I do not want to switch the router over to 2.8 GHz unless there is no other option. Any ideas?

I dunno if this thread from Apple Discussions could help, John. RF Static on nearby devices (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1181323).
I know it's mostly about the iPhone but maybe it could send you on a tangent here....
Hope it does help you. :)

Thanks MHC. Interesting. I've read a lot about the aluminum backs on the iPhone creating all sorts of havoc.
I'm here at home now on the wifi and she's next to me jabbering with her sister and says there is no static now. So I just don't know. Maybe it was simply a bad connection.

Is there any particular reason you want to avoid 2.4GHz? Are you aware that it still will run at 802.11n transfer rates?
