Blogging Clients

Does anyone use any desktop blogging clients like MarsEdit or ecto? I tried using MarsEdit but couldn't get it set up for MacApper.

If anyone has managed to do it successfully, could you give me some of the details on how to do it, the auto-detect didn't work when I put in the URL http://www.macapper.com/

Thanks Justin, maybe I'll try it later, but it is still not Universal. Apparantly, ecto v3 is being developed so maybe I'll wait for that.

I personally never got the usefulness of having a desktop app for updating a blog. Am I missing something? :/

It's just that sometimes the WordPress editor can be unreliable. I've read a couple of stories of people losing posts and I actually had a bit of an incident recently where I nearly lost one.

I know what you mean though, Tsukari, I just wish it were easier. Especially since Safari doesn't like WordPress very much (or vice-versa).

Safari could me much better. I personally use a word processor then try to piece things up in FireFox or Flock.

I see the point of using one, but I haven't really bothered to see what's out there. It's like using Mail.app instead of www.gmail.com to email people.

yeah i agree about marsedit works perfect for me :coolthumbup:

I use MacJournal. Blogo is nice visually, Marsedit and Ecto always had some issue for me. Bleezer was visually unattractive. Wordpress installations may not allow remote posting, such as those built-in on Netfirms.
