Waaaay backwhen I used to edit text on a Windows or Linux wkst I was very fond of selecting text with shift-end or shift-home. It's super useful for quickly highlighting a line of text. Sadly this doesn't work in OS X and I am pulling my hair out trying to find a solution. :bored:
Anyone?
did a little google search:

does that solve your problem?
Hey Miles, try using shift then the Up arrow key. I think that does what you are talking about. Does it?

I use cmd-arrow (left or right) to get to the end of a line, then cmd-shift-arrow (the opposite direction) to select a single line.
Hope that helps.

That works too. :)

Found it...More cumbersome than it needs to be imo...
shift-apple-arrow(left/right) - that will select all text. You can try it in your browser window ;)
