Who here is dual booting linux on their mac? I am guessing nobody. Yeah I realize it may sound redundant to want to do this, but there is some stuff in Linux I just gotta check out my macbook pro. ie: Berel. There is also some KDE/Gnome tools I find myself finding no equivalents for in OS X. Oh and Konquerer ;)

I just run my Linux distros in Parallels, it's simple, easy, fast, and efficient.

Duh...I never even thought of that. That is how I am currently running Win XP and its quite impressive. I tried Crossover and it's got a long ways to go I think.
yeah you're right I see no need to make a bootcamp partition for this exercise. Thanks. ;)

I am running Ubuntu 6.10 in the new VM Beta and it seems quite fast and stable. With all these new virtualization apps I am finding myself dual booting less and less.

I've really wanted to try Beryl but my Mobility X1600 isn't really compatible with Ubuntu right now.
Can't even boot it up, as it gives me screwed up graphics.

Yeah that's no fun. I'll give this a shot myself when I get time.

I'd personally just use parallels as well but I can see the need/want to dual boot. No virtual box compares to being on the actual OS as far as performance, resource use and graphics go.
