I fought the urge and lost.....I rushed out and bought an iPhone 3G and now am synchronising all my music and photos to it.

I have barely used it yet but I am soooooo excited.:coolthumbup::thumbup:

I'm going to cave and get my first cell-phone ever (truly) tomorrow. Worth it man? How is it?

I want one even though AT&T is ripping everybody off. If you do the math over the term of the 2 year contract the 3G phone will cost more than the original iPhone. Very smart marketing but that's the facts folks.

I'm still concerned about getting good reception at my house (home office). If AT&T's service isn't any better than Sprint at my house there is no reason to change and PAY MORE.

I still want one BAD.

I see the iTunes servers are down already.

What a mess. Sometning I thought would happen.

No offense MadDog but why do people run out and get this news stuff on the first day and then wonder why they are frustrated?

I also heard that Firmware 2.0 is a mess. Problems already.

Buying launch day products.

Epic Fail.™

(No offense either, you probably got it activated before the huge rush :))

Right now I'm sitting in a recliner, browsing various Mac forums, enjoying the madness. :D

And people are "pissed"? Why? Duh.

Tsk tsk tsk. Most of these people seem to have never heard of the saying, "Patience is a virtue." I don't understand why they are all going "OMGWTFBBQ Y WONT MY IPHONE ACTIVATE APPLE MUST SUCK IF THEY CANT GET THERE SERVERS TO WORK."

The Apple iPhone geeks are having a complete melt down on the iPhone forums everywhere. It's commical. I'm not wishing bad things happen to iPhone folks but I just don't understand why people stand in line for days and have to be the first to have an experimental model of the new phone. There are problems. It would seem after the first introduction of iPhone that people would know there would be problems with v2.0 and there are. Like it doens't work so well from a lot of comments I've read. Wouldn't waiting a month be OK? Just sayin'. I mean it's a cell phone.

PS -- I want one. :)

I will resist the temptation for either the iPod Touch update or for the iPhone to be added to other carriers. I am a current AT&T customer and they s**k! I can't wait to get away from them!

I think I'll flip on FoxNews and watch more disgruntled iPhone buyers while enjoying the rest of this Samual Adams Boston Lager...

We have 3 major phone carriers here and they all sell iPhone....... lucky me. Now I have to clean up my contacts and iTunes library. Hadn't bothered too much until now as I still have the work O2 Exec smart phone which syncs with my outlook at work and I have been a naughty boy and using the work phone for a couple too many private calls. I think when it is time to negotiate my contract at work I will look at negotiating the phone, parking and petrol this time.
