wireless laptop hookup?

just bought my daughter new 13 inch laptop and i am trying to get on my exsisting wireless system i have at home comcast is provider and using linksys wrt54gs-v7 router need help please.

i know the wireless router is working, i have 3 other pcs on it .it has a very good signal, i would like to know if there a different configuration for macs if so can you please give me some kind of directions..thank you

Are you using any Encryption on the Router for the Wifi like WEP WPA or WPA2?

I have a wep number if thats what you mean? I am looking at a printout sheet from the router and it has NA next to WEP and WPA if that is any help.
