I have a Macbook Pro 1,1 15" 2.0ghz. The ATI GPU and/or apple logic board is screwed. There is a whole bunch of people that, like me, are experiencing graphics problems starting with miss-coloured pixels, then lines of static across the screen, and the followed by the computer locking up. I am desperately looking for a solution, because at this rate my $2500 machine will be the most expensive paper weight ever made.
Apple says they can fix it by replacing it with the same defective part for a small cost of $1200-1300.... what who can afford to pay that much? I can get a whole new computer for that price! :mad:
