Ok, another question my fellow mac lovers..

Anyone recommend an iPod? I have a psp and use it often for games... However, the appeal of podcasting on my website  has me thinking about purchasing an iPod.....

Any suggestions?

I am a trying to be a practical woman so only if it is necessary will I purchase it..

Absolutely yes. Try a Nano if you're just looking for something simple and cheap'ish. I still have my iPod series I and it works perfectly...Which says a lot about the durability of Apple products.

Congrats Peety, I'm sure you'll love it. I have the nano and it's the best MP3 player I've had.

Does the video ipod scratch easily?

I have a video iPod that's pretty much scratch free, because I keep it in an enclosed case all the time. If you're worried about the metal part on the back of the iPod scratching, it does pretty easily, but in the case of the front of the iPod, it's a bit harder to scratch but it still does. Keep this in mind. The black video iPod shows the scratches in the front much clearer than the white one.

I am currently using a 5.5G 30GB iPod Video, and absolutely love it.

At $300 it was a little bit pricey, but it is yet to fail me.
For the last couple months I have abused it pretty badly: Left it out in the sun, have not been using a case, and dropped it from my pocket onto the pavement below where it slid downhill for about 10 metres.

Remarkably there is very little damage. The back is a little scratch in spots, but that is it.

I'm sure I read about an app somewhere that can turn your IPOD into a HDD rescue diag drive. So it would be handy for that aswell

It's called DasBoot, MacApper covered it in April. http://macapper.com/2007/04/08/das-boot-convert-an-ipod-to-a-mac-repair-station/
